The Challenge

Developing a unified digital experience across diverse brands and markets required balancing consistency with flexibility. Stanley Black & Decker’s project involved creating a complex design system that would support a global platform with extensive customizability—one that could adapt to varying languages, market needs, and consumer demands while enabling rapid, on-brand deployment. Integrating multiple third-party systems and managing the CI/CD pipeline to support multiple teams across time zones added additional layers of complexity.

Our goal was to deliver a versatile, scalable web CMS layer, utilizing Acquia Site Studio, Drupal 9, and a low-code approach to achieve rapid rollouts across Stanley Black & Decker’s brand estate. Here’s how we approached this dynamic challenge:

We streamlined data integrations with third-party systems, designed for smooth Drupal integration, and implemented a CI/CD deployment process to support scalable growth. This allowed for seamless multi-site operations, supporting everything from content management to real-time product updates.
